Aaron Curtis

Mr. Aaron Burl Curtis, age 38, of Hudson passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at UNC Healthcare Valdese.

Born January 23, 1985 in Burke County, Aaron was the son of Jeff and Susan Edmisten Curtis.  For over 20 years, Aaron was the head manager and supervisor of Curtis Cleaning Service.  He was also the chief operator of Curtis Carpet Cleaning.  Aaron loved the outdoors, and was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a faithful member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Hudson where he was a member of the choir and Sunday School teacher of the junior high boys.  Aaron had a wonderful singing voice, and was a blessing to many and his church family. Aaron cherished and loved his wife of 15 years, Amanda, and loved spending time with his two boys teaching them the life skills of a man and leading them to love the Lord. Aaron was a tremendous husband and father, giving great care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical welfare of his family. Aaron was a Christian gentleman that exhibited the spiritual gift of compassion in every area of his life.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Evelyn Curtis.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Amanda Parks Curtis; his two sons, Benjamin Aaron Curtis and Joshua Alan Curtis; a sister, Sara Curtis Johnson (husband Sam); his niece, Katherine Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Rufus and JoAnn Edmisten; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Ambassador Baptist Church with Pastor John Sawyer and Pastor Cody Shew officiating.  Interment will follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
