Lenoir, NC- Mr. Adolph Gustave “A.G.†Miller, age 87, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Brian Center in Weaverville. Born October 10, 1926 in Caldwell County, Mr. Miller was a son of the late Hal and Edith Jonas Miller and the husband of Mrs. Nancy Teague Miller of the home to whom they had shared 62 years of marriage. Mr. Miller had retired as sales manager with Lenoir Mirror after 30 years of service. He was a proud member of the Lenoir High School Band and attended Appalachian State University and Lenoir-Rhyne College. He had served his country during World War II in the US Navy, was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, a Rotarian and enjoyed playing golf. Other than his wife he is survived by his daughter, Pamela Miller Smith and husband Rand of Lenoir; one brother, Hal Miller of Indiana; 2 Grandsons, Tyler Smith and wife Amy of Mooresville; Alan Smith and wife Brittany of Lenoir and 3 Great-Grandsons, Talan, Canaan and Sawyer Smith. A private memorial service for Mr. Miller will be held at St. James Episcopal Church with Father Mike Cogsdale officiating.
