Katlyn "Katie" Ward

Katlyn “Katie” Nichole Ward, 18, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, June 30th. Katie was born August 26, 2002 and was a daughter of Ronald Albert Ward and Karen Brown Ward of Lenoir. Katie graduated from Hibriten High School last year and was interested in interior design, fashion and was also an animal lover. Survivors include her Mother, Karen Brown Ward, and a brother, William Thomas Ward, both of Lenoir; a Nephew, Micah Asher Ward; her Grandmother, Edith Killian Brown; her Grandfather, Albert Ward; and numerous other loved ones. A celebration of Katie’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 12:00PM at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Poarch and Reverend Bradley Walker officiating.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Caldwell Humane Society at www.caldwellhumane.org.
