In Loving Memory
Victor Elsworth Escalle, Jr.
11/30/1944 - 9/12/2010



Victor Elsworth Escalle, Jr., age 65, of Rhodhiss, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his home.


Born November 30, 1944 in Welch, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Margaret Queen Escalle Blevins and the late Victor Elsworth Escalle.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth York, and a brother, Eugene Blevins. 


Before retiring, Victor worked as a chef at several different places.  He had worked for Holiday Inn, the Patterson School, Shady Oaks and the Coffee House.  Victor loved the outdoors, fishing, and eating a good steak.  He was fond of all animals, big and small.


Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Verritt Escalle Newman, husband Joe, of Cape Coral, Florida, and Tricia Escalle Coggins, husband Greg, of North Fort Myers, Florida; his grandchildren, Cameron, Riley, Brittany, Lydia, and Grace; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne Escalle Munday of Hudson, and Corinne Escalle Pope, husband Cecil, of Granite Falls; Linda Sue Teseniar of Hudson, and Betty Whitehead, husband Al, of Lilburn, Georgia;   five brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Blevins, wife Judy, of Boca Raton, Florida, Jimmy Blevins, wife Nell, of Sebring, Florida, Joe Blevins, wife Nellie, of Granite Falls, Donald Blevins, wife Belinda, of Monticello, Kentucky, and Michael Blevins of Safford, Arizona; an extra special friend, Donna Marada; and two special friends, Miranda and Jason Carpenter; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.


The family will receive friends to pay tribute to Victor’s life on Sunday, October 3, 2010, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory in Lenoir.
